Fire Station Nursery N16
a community nursery for under-fives

The Fire Station Community Nursery was established in 1982 at the Old Fire Station, Stoke Newington. We aim to provide good quality, affordable education and day-care facilities for children, aged from 13 weeks to 5 years, in a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment, and to equip them for school life.

The nursery has 45 places including 12 for under-2s. We have an excellent reputation with local primary schools, and pride ourselves on our ability to give children well rounded care, developing their skills, self worth and emotional stability to give them the best possible start in life.

The nursery aims to represent a cross-section of the local community, which is mixed in income, culture and ethnicity – equal opportunities and celebration of diversity are very important to us. We have charitable status, subsidised places for low income families and affordable fees.
