Fire Station Community Nursery provides good quality, affordable education and day-care facilities for children, aged from 13 weeks to 5 years, in a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment, and to equip them for school life.
Opening
We are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 49 weeks a year (we close for a week at Christmas and 2 weeks in late August).
Morning, afternoon and full day sessions are available.
Fees
We offer affordable fees, payable on a weekly or monthly basis:

Parents on low income
We are able to offer a limited number of subsidised places at £95 / week for parents on low incomes (meeting criteria set by the Learning Trust). Reduced rates may also be available for children of parents on low incomes attending for individual sessions or days.
NEF – Nursery Education Funding
NEF is available to most children from the first full school term after their 3rd birthday – the nursery will apply for this on parents’ behalf and offer the reduced rates shown above to eligible children.
Some children of parents on low incomes qualify for NEF from the first full school term following their 2nd birthday.
Payment
Weekly fees are payable 49 weeks a year, in the course of each week, ie every week except when the nursery is closed for 1 full week at Christmas and 2 full weeks in late August.
Monthly fees are payable 12 months a year, at the beginning of each month. Monthly fees can be calculated by multiplying weekly fees by 49 and dividing by 12.
Payments can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. We also accept most childcare vouchers.
